Full Time, Hourly, Day – May work weekends

Position Description:

This position is responsible for the maintenance in the Central Processing Plant (CPP). This includes the daily maintenance required to maintain the CPP components of operations which includes, but is not limited to, all routine maintenance on pumps & motors, agitators, oil heating units, chemical systems, elution & precipitation circuits, filter press system, and dryer circuits. A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Developing, modifying, and completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the CCP.
  • Operating maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
  • Utilizing and working with maintenance trades and components such as electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Modifying or building equipment by reading and comprehending electrical or mechanical manuals, blueprints, or operating manuals.
  • Working in and on Ion Exchange (IX) columns, quarterly inspections.
  • Fixing leaks and piping on operating systems that include PVC, stainless steel, and carbon steel and contain welded, flanged, and glued Victaulic couplings.
  • Inspecting and maintaining oil changes and lubrication routes for all dryer circuits, elution and precipitation circuits, centrifugal pumps and acid systems.
  • Maintain required records on all day-to-day maintenance in CPP.
  • Must foster a positive work environment by acting professionally and treating coworkers with respect.

 

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position an individual must be knowledgeable in process equipment, pump and motor maintenance activities, and have a willingness to learn and follow company procedures for the CPP maintenance requirements. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math including multiplication and division.
  • Experience working with industrial operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct malfunctions of equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards typically associated with a uranium ISR facility which includes the presence of low levels of radioactive materials and radiation, low to moderate noises levels, moving equipment, slips on wet surfaces, and trips related to uneven ground and facility equipment.  Work is primarily indoors. However, work is occasionally done outdoors, and the employee may be exposed to inclement weather including cold, hot, snow, rain, mud etc.
