Strata Sponsors Moorcroft Family Fun Night

July 13, 2012 – Strata Energy recently sponsored Family Fun Night as a part of the Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce’s annual Jubilee Days. This event was a kickoff for a weekend of exciting, family-friendly events including a pancake breakfast, parade, mud volleyball, bed races, and a street dance. Family Fun Night attracted families from all around the area.

The community of Moorcroft is located 22 miles south of Strata’s Ross Project, on the banks of the Belle Fourche River where Interstate 90 cross the Old Texas Trail. In the late 1800’s, Moorcroft was the largest shipping point for cattle and sheep in the United States. Historically a ranching community, Moorcroft now supports an active mineral industry as well.
