Casing Crew I, II, or III

REPORTS TO:  Drilling Supervisor

FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt

Position Description:

This position is responsible for operating a cementing unit and dry bulk cement truck, as well as a water truck and other equipment used in the well cementing and installation process.  In addition to supporting well cementing operations, the role assists with the exploration program and well abandonment activities.  Daily responsibilities include contributing to the construction of wellfield components to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the cementing unit and dry bulk cement truck.
• Safely operate the water truck and related equipment used in the well cementing and installation process.
• Perform well and hole abandonment activities on site.
• Maintain accurate records of assigned activities.
• Operate a pickup truck on company property as needed to support operations.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.
• Provide support to the Construction department and assist other areas as needed.
• Maintain mechanical components of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company.
• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker and Air Brake endorsement is preferred.
• Ability to work productively with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
• Must be able to read and write and perform basic math including multiplication and division.
• Hands on experience with pulling units, well service operations, or construction-related work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in daily operations.
• The ability to follow the company’s industrial safety and radiation safety policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to hazards typically associated with a uranium ISR facility which includes the presence of low levels of radioactive materials and radiation, low to moderate noises levels, moving equipment, slips on wet surfaces, and trips related to uneven ground and facility equipment.  The work is generally outdoors, and the employee can be exposed to inclement weather including cold, hot, snow, rain, mud etc.
