Strata Parade Float Promotes Awareness Throughout Crook County
A float developed by Strata employees is making the round of parades in Crook County this summer. The float features a mock “wellfield,” showing the wellhead covers for injection and extraction wells, with cutaway examples showing the piping and controls that lie beneath the well covers. Large images of various aspects of operation at the Ross Uranium Mine, including the interior of header houses and the central processing plant, are placed around the perimeter of the float.
The float is intended to increase public awareness of ISR mining and the Ross mine in particular.
